Teresa Popelier

Teresa Popelier, Planning, Zoning, Entitlements Administrator, has worked on many different commercial, residential and industrial projects in the more than 12 years that she has been a member of Morris Engineering’s team. In her role, she manages entitlements for a variety of projects, including affordable housing projects and entitlements for borrow pits and mining projects. She also assists with due Diligence research and reports; coordinates and participates in preapplication meetings, neighborhood workshops, and public hearings; assists in the preparation of RFPs and RFQs; administers performance and defect security bond coordination, inspection requests, and releases; manages subdivision platting; manages final inspection coordination and collaboration with projects’ construction managers; coordinates water and lift station meter installations; assists when needed for onsite for water pressure testing and water tie-ins, including potable water sanitation observations; and more.

Throughout her career, Teresa has been involved in a variety of commercial projects, including a Dairy Queen, Taco Bell and Tire Kingdom in Heritage Harbour, Bayside Community Church and Heritage Harbour Hotel. Her residential experience includes Summerwoods, Travesta, Willow Walk, Moccasin Wallow Townhomes, and more. She has worked on zoning and comprehensive plan amendments, including Eden Ellenton, 18th Avenue East, and Crosswinds South. She also has been instrumental in several industrial projects, including Desoto Sand & Fill Borrow Pit, Turner Desoto Burrow Pit, Land South Desoto Borrow Pit and more.

Teresa earned her associate degree from Meridian College in Lakewood Ranch. In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors, including hiking, paddle boarding, fishing, biking and enjoying the beach. She also loves to cook.
